Hi I'm Muhammad Ali
I'm a third year software engineering student at the University of Guelph. I like to code, bike, and learn new things.
I am a fast learner who can adapt to different situations. I like remain organized by planning out my day in order to save time and be productive. I got interested in programming after my fist CS class in highschool. The ability to create cool things from scratch drew me closer to this field. I want to use these skills to help others by building cool things.
I started off programming with Python and became proficient in it. I quickly learnt C, JavaScript, and Java afterwards. I used C in many school projects such an employee management system which was purely made in C. Thereafter, I learnt HTML and CSS. I followed this up with React and Express which allowed me to create full stack applications.
I love learning new things. I can learn quick and like to implement what I have learnt. I take the initiative to reach out to people, after trying to solve the problem by myself, when in need of assistance. I have worked well when it comes to tight deadlines and overcoming conflicts between team members.
Provided below are some of my experiences.
Currently building an intranet for the School of Computer Science at the University of Guelph.
Joined buildspace S5 to build lernr.ai. I met many developers who are currently building as well allowing me to network and get feedback on my build.
Currently working on an early stage startup that allows students to make notes, quizzes, and flashcards easily using AI.
Joined Headstarter to advance my skills and network in order to expand my career as SWE.
Incoming frontend developer at fill it forward.
